Adonai
represents God's own name. Since Jewish tradition scrupulously
avoided using "the name" wrongly the word "lord"
was read instead. "Adonai" sounds like a name in English
but is the Hebrew for "Lord".
life that fills me translations like "my soul" sound as if soul and body are distinguished. This is not the Hebrew thought, "life that fills me" allows the sense of speaking to oneself, without implying duality of human nature.
might and majesty alliterate as the Hebrew does.
dressed in sunshine "clothed in light" sounds cliched in English. Peterson's alternative from The Message is much better.
